SCAM ALERT: Newsgator Sold My Frozen Head to a Cryonics Lab!
Greg R. can dispute it all he wants. You can claim it had no market value in the first place. You can flatly claim I wasn't even using it. But it's true just the same: Newsgator sold my frozen head to a cryonics lab for a dollar.
Reinacker & Associates acquired the rights to my frozen head in the Spring of 2003 in exchange for certain software licensing rights. I thought I was just buying an aggregator. I didn't read the fine print on the EULA. Apparently, they also acquired the right to sell my frozen head.
I had thought that I first had to expire for these rights to become exercisable, I thought that my head would, at the very least, remain thawed until after my demise. Turns out it's not so. I was informed today that the Alcor Life Extension Foundation in Scottsdale, Arizona has acquired the rights to my frozen head, effective immediately.
Shame on those people. I for one will tell anyone I know that Newsgator comes from a frozen-head-selling software company that happens to also make a great aggregator and provides helpful friendly support. I hope you do the same.
